Harry Potter and the Cursed Child!

2016, the year of Harry Potter, has just begun. As you may know, if you haven’t been living under a rock during this last five months, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child ( which is a play) started to be played at the theaters this month and on the 31st of July ( Harry Potter’s and JK Rowling’s birthday by the way 😉 ) a book with the rehearsal script  WILL BE RELEASED!!!

Yes, it’s finally happening! In less than a month we will be able to have the 8th story of Harry Potter in our hands. I know that after the seventh book we felt devastated because we wouldn’t be getting another book but do not worry Potterheads because we have a brand new book/play which takes place 19 years later. I’ve already pre-ordered the book and I can’t cope with the wait. I NEED THE BOOK NOW!!.

Many of you may have already seen the play but there are some people, I include myself in this category, that couldn’t get hold of tickets of the play and have to wait till the book is released. Here is the summary of the book/play if you haven’t yeat read it:

It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children.

While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.

So, here is the thing, I’ve been thinking a lot about Harry Potter lately , well I think about it  every day to be fair, and I’ve come up with some theories about the new book:

( * Please people who have seen the play, don’t do spoilers!)

 

1. A NEW VILLAN WILL APPEAR

Yes, or dear old Voldemort may be dead but this doesn’t mean that the evil lies at rest. I think that we will be getting a new villain which can be related in some way to Tom Riddle. Maybe a secret brother or a family member or just that the Death Eaters want vengeance!

 

2. HOOK

I think that this eight-part can be similar to the film Hook ( Peter Pan, now being an adult, has to go back to Neverland to save his children). Maybe, in this play, Albus Severus may be captured and now, Harry and the Golden Trio, will have to save him.

 

3. ALBUS-SEVERUS PULLED TO THE DARK SIDE

When we think about Harry’s children we think about them as good, kind and brave but this doesn’t mean that one of them is not as ‘’good’’ as we expect. Maybe Albus will be pulled by the dark arts or maybe he can be possessed because maybe Voldemort is not as dead as we think, which can make Albus attack everyone he loves. He has done it before, hasn’t him? If he could work with Quirrel without anyone noticing he can sure work with an innocent boy. ( I’m really hoping that Albus ends up in the Slytherin house!)

4. A NEW HOGWARTS

I bet that you have imagined a Hogwarts with internet, electricity… so maybe our wishes will be coming true in this part. Hogwarts was destroyed during the Battle of Hogwarts and this means that this is possible. Who will be the new headmaster? Who will teach the classes? Will Hogwarts be very different from the one that we saw in the other books? We only know that Neville will be teaching at Hogwarts but I think that, from now on, we will be seeing a different Hogwarts that maybe we don’t expect.

 

 

This are my theories and this doesn’t mean that they have to be true! I may be absolutely wrong but I’m excited to see if I was right or wrong? Which are your theories? Let me know down below!
