Sitting in my bed staring at my bookshelf and I turn right and see something terrifying… A HUGE PILE OF BOOKS ON THE FLOOR. What do I do? I have to think something quick and I start putting them on my bookshelf but the worst thing happened: I have to face an overcrowded bookshelf and 20+ books on the floor waiting for a place at the bookshelf. I sit down, surrounded by thousands of books but when my world was falling apart I had a realisation…
Yes guys, what I told you before is real but I have a solution to this huge problem ( don’t worry I won’t be unhauling any books) which won’t cost as much as buying a new bookshelf. And this solution is…….. I’LL BE BUYING ONLY ONE BOOK A MONTH! What? Can this be possible? I know that this solution is more like a challenge because I’m not joking when I say that I have a huge book-buying addiction and I’m totally okay with it but you know… it’s come to a point where my bookshelf is chaos even though I bought new shelves last month ( I know, shame on me) it looks as if a tornado has come pass it, so I’ll try to buy only one book a month. Now you can place your bets on how long will I last 😉
And the book for this month iiiiiis……. HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD!!! Wow how original, who would expect a Potterhead to buy the
LAST Harry Potter book on the releasing date?! I’m so excited to read this book although I’ve heard a lot of mixed reviews about it so I really hope to love it! This book is the script of the play that they’ve started performing this year and it was written by J.K. Rowling, John Tiffany and Jack Thorne. I loved the other books of the series and I really have very high expectations.
As it is a Script book it’s going to be a really quick read because it’s supposed to be read in the same amount of time that it takes to be performed on stage so I suppose that I’ll read it in 4 hours or so. I can already see myself not being able to put the book down when I start it! You can see my predictions on the plot of the book HERE.
This book is set nineteen years later, after the battle of Hogwarts so, basically, at the epilogue of Deathly Hallows in 2017 ( I’m so going to re-read the book the 1st of September of 2017!) and now Harry is working at the Ministry of Magic and his youngest son, Albus, will be starting his first year at Hogwarts but he will have to deal with several struggles that are related with his father’s past.
I really like that the summary doesn’t tell us a lot because I don’t really know what to expect. I think that this book has so many mixed reviews because it is a script and many people aren’t used to reading them but, as I study Literature, I’m used to reading them so I hope that I’ll enjoy it a little bit more. This one was the first book that I bought from Book Depository and I’m really happy with it! The only thing that I was a bit shocked to find out were the days that it took for it to come home but as the shipping is free I’m not going to complain. Oh, and they give you a bookmark too so, this made me really happy!
You can expect a review of this book once I’ve read it! Have you read the book? What do you think of it? Tell me down below!
